A little bit about me
I’m a designer, WordPress developer and digital marketer with over 15 years experience in my field. I’ve been building websites since the late ’90s, before WordPress was even “a thing.” What started off as a hobby soon became something I do professionally, building websites for events and small businesses in my local area.
I started my digital marketing career in 2007. I was looking for something that complemented my web development skills, and I wondered: “what good is having a beautiful website if nobody is able to find it?” This question led me to learning about SEO, and I got my first marketing job at a small Baltimore agency doing just that. SEO quickly grew into a passion for all things digital marketing, and led to experience in paid search, display advertising, social media, email marketing, and analytics.
Today I am a Senior Product Owner at Allegis Group, the largest staffing and recruiting company in the United States (parent company of Aerotek, TEKsystems, Actalent, and several others), where I develop strategy, roadmaps and oversee product launches for end-to-end talent experience. I love being able to do what I do on such a large scale, having the opportunity to learn new tools and technologies, but most importantly, learning from and being inspired by the many talented people I work with. Outside of work, I am blessed to be a mom to two beautiful, healthy children, my 5-year old daughter and 3-year old son. I’m also an avid gamer, podcaster, collector, and media hoarder. I have a deep nostalgia for the 80s and 90s, the era I grew up in. I spend an unhealthy amount of time on Reddit and I often fantasize about time traveling in a DeLorean.
